About this Garden Plan

Going from left to right, in box one I have planted carrots, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, broccoli, onions, and dill. These crops would be planted in April through May, June, and July. First to harvest would be Cabbage in the months of September through February. The second crops to harvest would be Brussel sprouts and broccoli with the harvesting months of November through March and April. The third to be harvested would be onion with the harvesting months of June through October. Lastly, carrots would be harvest in the months of August through December. In this box, I have also planted the herb dill which is harvest in June through October. Dill is a companion plants to the Brussel sprouts, broccoli, and cabbage. Dill attracts hoverflies, parasitic wasps, ladybugs, praying mantis, honeybees, and butterflies. These insects are beneficial to the garden and will help with pest through biochemical pest suppression. In box two I planted Pole beans, corn, asparagus, tomato, gourd, peas, and basil. First to harvest would be asparagus with harvesting months of May through August. The second to harvest would be tomato and peas with the harvest months June through October. The third to harvest would be pole beans and basil in the months of July through October. Lastly the fourth crop to harvest would be corn with in the months of August through October. I planted basil in this box as a companion to the tomato. Basil is a natural deterrent for white flies, mosquitoes, tomato hornworms, aphids, houseflies, and asparagus beetles. This will protect the tomatoes and other crop using biochemical pest suppression. As for the symbiotic nitrogen fixation, I have planted pole beans next to my corn crops so that the beans may feed the corn. I also planted peas near the tomatoes to also help with nitrogen fixation. Box three has celery, green onion, chives, pepper, eggplants, kale, leeks, and rosemary. First to harvest are green onions in the month of March followed by chives in April. T
