Garden Plans > 2014: "Zombie Apocolypse Garden"

About this Garden Plan

My garden shows the many fruits and vegetables (and animals) that I find delicious. Theres nothing in my garden that I wouldnt eat. This was hard to figure out because I needed to know what plants benefitted each other and how many of each variety to plant because I had an $80.00 budget. But I figured it out, and this is the final project.

Plant List

 PlantNumberSpacingSpacing in RowsNotes
Apple (Large) 116' 4"16' 4" x 16' 4"I already have an apple tree in my yard, and I know nothing about it, but the fruit is sweet and yummy, so...
Asparagus
 Purple Passion (F1)
481' 5"1' 5" x 1' 5"I chose purple passion because it is purple, it has a sweeter taste than the green varieties, and they are super cool because they turn green when cooked. They're just to cool for school, man. Cost: I don't know. Perennial.
Basil
 Italian Large Leaf
557"5" x 9"I chose Italian Large Leaf because I don't really know the difference and I don't really care because I'm mostly just growing it to help my asparagus, honestly. Cost: $3.65/ 100 seeds
Beans (Bush Snap)
 Tongues Of Fire
999"5" x 1' 1"I chose the tongue of fire because they are very appealing to the eye (THEYRE PURPLE!). I mean that's basically why. I like beans and these ones are pretty. Cost: $3.65/ 100 seeds
Beans (Pole)
 Fortex
309"5" x 1' 1"I chose the Fortex pole beans because they are "delicious at whatever growth", they grow more than 11" long, they are also very early and productive beans. Cost: $3.95/ 50 seeds
Broccoli
 Arcadia (F1)
441' 5"1' 5" x 1' 5"I chose Arcadia because it is vigorous and has "excellent side-shoot production". Cost: $3.65/ 100 seeds
Brussels Sprouts
 Nautic (F1) (OG)
401' 11"1' 11" x 1' 11"I chose Nautic because it has a higher yield than some other varieties, and they are tasty. Cost: $8.95/ 100 seeds
Cabbage (Fall)
 Farao (F1) (OG)
182' 9"2' 7" x 2' 11"I chose Farao because on Johnny's website, it was described as having a "peppery sweet taste" which I though sounds good and also it has good standing ability so you dont have to split it. Cost: $3.95/ 100 seeds
Carrot
 Rainbow (F1)
773"3" x 5"I chose rainbow because, depending on the color, the taste is different, but because they are the same variety, they grow better than growing multiple varieties for the same color/ taste affect. Cost: $3.65/ 750 seeds
Chamomile 111"9" x 1' 3"
Chili Pepper
 Tiburon Hybrid
251' 1"11" x 1' 3"I chose tiburon because it is both sweet and spicy. Cost: $3.95/ 25 seeds
Corn
 Xtra-Tender 2573 (F1)
661' 1"11" x 1' 5"I chose this variety because I love sweet corn... pretty much. Cost: $4.95/ 150 seeds
Cornflower 27"7" x 7"
Cosmos 27"7" x 7"
Cucumber
 Vertina (F1)
