Plan Notes
The 8 x 4 bed on top of lawn was moderate success. We have many tomatoes and cucumbers, but the plants look stressed (I have added: epsom water for magnesium deficiency, compost tea, organic fertilizer mix, compost) The first crop of lettuce was great. Second planting looks good. It's the peppers that have not fared well. We harvested a few jalapenos, but no bell & there are no more flowers on any. The pepper plants I purchased late and planted out back died within 1 week. Update 9/23 - the peppers started to flower late Aug into Sept & produced 2 black bells, 1 yellow and several more jalapenos. Trumpet vines are popping up everywhere through lawn and bed. We will have to remove this bed after season to try and get them all out!
