Plan Notes

It will be a late start this year ... as of 4/18/2023 the garden is still under over a foot of snow Turned out it didn't freeze all of May (unheard of!) and I could have planted earlier, but didn't have the time There was a week of hot weather early May, then it cooled down and rained off and on Some good rain and big thunderstorms in June A few heavy rain events in July, with wind and thunder Didn't start all the seedlings I had planned because of Gary's heart issue and trips to Billings ... all remaining stuff can be seeded when we get back (around beginning of May) Cover the lettuce bed after planting early - keep in the warmth - haven't needed to do this because it has been warm enough Lettuce only in the lettuce bed – used 4x8 3-season plant protection tent from Gardener's Supply, added the shade cover when it got hot in mid-July Evaluate how it worked to have radishes and carrots in with the lettuce Don't forget to thin seedlings - everything needs more space to grow
