Garden Plans > 2021: Running a Muck off Grid 1

About this Garden Plan

Burnett Region Queensland. Off grid self sufficiency including veg/fodder for pigs, cattle and horse. Starting with the veg planted by seed in egg cartons. Garden beds made with cardboard placed on a weedy, loamy soil ground then covered in thick straw as the garden bed base. Straw mulch will then be thickly added on top to prevent weeds and contain moisture and for mulching to add nutrients to the soil. This is following the guidelines of a 'no dig' garden system. This will enable us to spend less time cultivating and save water.
